brisingr was very different bt similar at the same time, it was mostly about Eragon finding out about his half brother murtagh and his father brom. i was amazed when i found out that Eragons brother was murtagh and was even more astounded when i found out that his dad was really brom not murtaghs dad. I thought that it was realy sad that his sword was taken away from him by murtagh in book 2 or book 3 i dont really remember. and when gleader and his rider died it gave so much effect to me.
But the story line of Eldest was fantastic, i loved the way eragons cousin was being a leader, when the razack and soldiers were in the village he made up a plan to kill them and run them out of the village. And i was amazed that they had met the friend of brom who was also included in book 1, i also like the character of that independent lady who scared those men that got them the boat to cros the sea.

I went to it, took a few hours before I had an interview (hundreds of people, four interviewers). Now I just have to wait to see if I get called back for a second interview.

From the linked article: "the project suffered from a brief cold-snap and almost seemingly non-stop rain."

So ... it ALMOST seemed like it was raining non-stop. But not quite.

I think if you use either one of those words by itself, you're fine - "almost non-stop rain" or "seemingly non-stop rain" ... but both at once, especially in that order, made me laugh.

Good points Corkisha, Katie, and everyone. One reason I'd like to see this movie do well is that it gives good, challenging roles to black actors. Also, whenever a movie with black creators makes money, then there's more chance that other movies made by black creators will find financial backers.

Corkisha-

I think you have a good point. I'm torn because I think it's good to shine a light on problems. It might help people to talk about them. To not accept them and ignore them. On the other hand, how many people are going to see this movie (or just the trailers) and go "Oh, that's just black people"? Maybe if seeing successful and confident African-Americans on television and books was the norm, then more people like the characters of Precious and her mother would feel like they deserve a life beyond poverty and abuse. Then again, there are plenty of poor and abused white people and we see rich and successful white people on tv all the time.

There's an article that has an interview with Sapphire, the author of "Push" on which the movie was based. In it, Sapphire responds to criticism about the movie showing African-Americans in a bad light. She replies, "If you're upset, then ask, 'Why does this happen? What can I do?' Not say, 'Bring back the Cosby family.' "
