Fall TV, New Vamps, Glee

I was thinking I’d be hearing a lot from people about the new vampire TV show based on The Vampire Diaries book series by L. J. Smith, but I’ve not heard a peep. Do those of you who like Twilight and other supernatural series like it?
What I have been hearing about is Glee, the new musical show. Are any of you watching it? If so, what do you think? I know some of you are in show choirs, so I’m very curious to hear your thoughts. I don’t think this one is based on a book.
Are there any other shows you like or that you’re eagerly awaiting?

What songs should we buy?
The listening stations in the teen living room at Main Library are working now. You may borrow our iPod or bring in your own iPod and plug it in. Stop and the desk and we’ll explain how that works.
And, what songs do you think we should buy for our iPod? –Mari

The Mythical Black Squirrel
This post is for Billy who claims to have seen black squirrels in his yard. I told him he was a liar and there was no such thing as a black squirrel. Even after I looked it up and found that there indeed may be black squirrels in Indiana, I continued to insist they were mythical creatures. Like Bigfoot and Nessie. Why? Because I like messing with Billy.
Then I came across this article today on Scienceray. I think it may be time to give in and admit Billy might be right. What do you say? Have you seen black squirrels in Fort Wayne?

For Lord of the Rings fans
The other day I found a Legolas poster (like the one at left but door-size) and thought “We should give this away on the blog.”
So, if you’d like a chance to win it, just answer the questions below. I’ll put the name of everyone who submits good answers into a hat and will draw a winner on May 7th. Pick up of the poster will be at Main Library. Only people in grades 6-12 are eligible.
Question 1: What makes the Lord of the Rings series special to you?
Question 2: What other books would you recommend to LOTR fans and why?
