Jeepers!

It’s not strictly a remake, but part of the inspiration for this Beyond the Talking Head video is the Scooby Doo episode “Jeepers, It’s the Creeper!”  Enjoy.

Also, I forgot to put Alida in the credits – she saved the entire video when she reshot the shot I missed.  Thanks, Alida!

Everything is better with the Mission: Impossible theme

The new Beyond the Talking Head video.  Make video with us at the new time: fourth Thursday of every month at 5 pm EXCEPT during the summer, when it will be the third Wednesday of June and July at 2 pm.

Edit: Very important: I was misinformed about the origination of this concept, and I’ll try to correct the video soon.  Meanwhile, realize that Katie came up with the idea.

Edit #2: Everyone should realize that the credits come in the MIDDLE of the video, and if you stop with the credits, you will miss out.

What do Jedi eat?

Chances are it’s not Wasa crackers.  This wasn’t the video we made in Beyond the Talking Head … however, it is *better* than any possible video we could have come up with from the raw video we shot for that.  This comes from Jedi Council, which is the same night, and has many of the same people, so it will have to do.

Waiting for Billy

At Beyond the Talking Head, we made a kind of candid camera/punkd type of video.  Due to camera restrictions, we missed a few good lines, but ultimately it turned out well.  Billy actually called Albert, who was asleep, and sick, but still managed to come up with an idea.  Sort of.

Ninja Cat 2

Inspired by Ninja Cat, this video was created at “Beyond the Talking Head”, our video creation workshop in Young Adults’ Services.  We do it on the second Thursday of each month.  Watch carefully as Albert infiltrates Young Adults’ Services.  (You might have to watch more than once in order to appreciate his technique.  Future filmmakers take note: This is all one long take – no editing.)

Update: Vimeo’s quality is much better than YouTube, so here’s the replacement!

Harry vs. Artemis

A while back – it seems like months ago, now, mainly because it really was months ago – a book discussion group we run here in Young Adults’ Services had an idea for a video.  The video has now been made, with the help of the “Beyond the Talking Head” event, a loose coalition of video artists that meets here the second Thursday of each month.

So now, without further delay, here is the video.
